Breeding: Our Litters
Helping Hounds' puppies are sired by completely health tested AKC registered labrador retrievers who also compete in canine conformation and performance events. In addition to their titles each and every breeding pair consists of task-trained service animals.
Each litter matriculates through Puppy Culture and Early Neurological Stimulation administered by professional service dog trainers. Our breeding pairs are carefully formed by pulling from pedigrees with lines of substantial width and depth.
Puppies pictured below are available for purchase via the puppy application unless indicated otherwise beneath the photos. Each puppy is hand-picked for his or her future owner or handler following our temperament test. Each litter contains between 1 and 4 puppies who test as working temperaments and qualify for service dog training. The remaining pups who test as sport, emotional support, therapy, and/or pet temperaments are sold separately as individuals to suitable homes.
Every purchaser of a puppy bred by Helping Hounds with a service dog temperament is typically contracted to complete at least 24 months of weekly training sessions conducted by HHUSA. Exceptions may include handlers who select a trainer from another training organization who must be interviewed and pre-approved by HHUSA.
